Cause Description:
We are a group of animal enthusiasts who wanted to help bridge the gap between available homes and animals in desperate need of a family to call their own here in Southern California. While we do not discriminate among the types of animals, we are, at heart, dog people. Our adoption fees vary depending upon the type of animal, age, breed, and any mitigating circumstances such as health or behavioral issues. We believe every animal has value, therefore none of them are given away for free. All of our animals will be spay/neutered before they are placed in a home. They will also be current on vaccinations unless health concerns dictate otherwise, and microchipped. All of these services are included in the adoption fee. It is important to us to save these animals from certain death in the shelters and once we take them into our charge, we believe we have a moral obligation to make the best decisions for the animals for their future care. In order to ensure we make appropriate matches for both the animals and the adopters, a home visit will be required for all adoptions. Because of these important adoption requirements, Southern California Animal Rescue can only place its rescues in Southern California homes.
