Cause Description:
Alaria Chamber Ensemble, a vibrant group that brings unique musical programming to its audiences, is celebrating its 25th season of performances at Weill Recital Hall/Carnegie Hall. Alaria directs the highly respected Adult Chamber Music at Mannes College of Music & is preparing new scholarship programs for high school students in the community. Alaria has taught and performed at numerous festivals world-wide, including the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Italy, France and Wales. Alaria is dedicated to the teaching, playing and promotion of chamber music. It supports the music community by commissioning new chamber works, performing house concerts to enable audiences to meet the musicians, and sponsors an annual competition to promote the writing of new chamber music by young students.
