Cause Description:
The global society we live in is becoming increasingly more competitive and it is extremely important that our children are fully equipped to face the challenges of the new millennium. The need is greatest in the areas of Mathematics, Science and Technology as countries such as China and India are leading the way in these areas. It should be noted that the majority of the high-paying careers in the future will be in the STEM field. Our program is designed to make up for the shortfall and inequity that exists in the public education system and supplement the educational needs of our students; primarily in the STEM area, where the need is greatest. We plan on servicing 200 students per month in Flatbush, Brooklyn to ensure that they are well verse in the areas of Mathematics, Science and Technology. The ratio of students to tutors will be 1:5 so that each student will get the optimal attention they need to learn and absorb the material. We will also have an administrative staff that will ensure the program meets its key metrics
