DIRECT Center for Independence works with people of all ages who have any type of disability to expand their options. To that end DIRECT offers many programs and services including Peer Mentoring, help in hiring and training personal assistants, advocacy training and nursing home outreach. Many types of training are offered such as money management, cooking, and ADA to name but a few. DIRECT is funded mainly by government grants particularly Title 7 dollars. It is a United Way agency.
