Cause Description:
The mission of A Child's Promise International is to help vulnerable and destitute children in marginal living conditions and challenging environments, embrace their futures with greater achievement for financial and personal success. Our vision is to see each child we educate and support become healthy, educated, self-reliant adults and productive citizens of a global society. Education has always been a necessary means to give real help and real sustainable achievement tools to children who would otherwise have little of either. We do not provide financial handouts arbitrarily. When monetary donations are given, it is to provide practical assistance that meets basic needs, enhances human dignity, and raises physical and educational levels that are both meaningful and sustainable. CPI's Mission Objectives: ??1. Complete school construction in Takoradi, Ghana, consisting of preschool to high school; continue campaign for student sponsorships; establish student scholarship fund; and, continue monetary and volunteer support to students and school for future achievements and success. ? 2. Support and work with vulnerable, at-risk youth in D.C.'s foster care and homeless shelters, providing not only needed donations of basic essentials, but positive learning experiences and educational opportunities.
