Cause Description:
The Brighton Charter Schools are comprised of two K-8 Schools and one 7-12 school. The K-8 schools truly provide parents a choice of educationial opportunity by providing the world acclaimed Montessori program or the standards driven Core Knowldged program. Parents have the opportunity to place their children in the program that matches the needs of their child. The 7-12 bulding is the oldest educational facility in the county. It was originally buildt as a court house. Our student do not have a gym, library, calfeteria, open space, music areas, and other opportunities found in some schools. However, what we have is cohesiveness within our staff and students, we have an understanding that together we can master our weaknesses and enlarge our strengths, and know our direction. In light of funding difficulties, we have been forced to cut staff and continually reduce our budget. This program will add to our efforts to assist our kids be what we know that they can become.
