Cause Description:
Hunger Connection is an independent food bank located in Rockford, IL. More than 10,000 pounds of food is distributed every day to feeding programs for low-income children and seniors, food pantries, soup kitchens, domentic violence and homeless shelters and other not-for-profit groups that provide food to persons at-risk of hunger. Our work takes us to 21 counties in Illinois and Rock County in Wisconsin. Our hunger-fighting efforts last year provided enough food to feed 5,168 people every day of the year! This was possible ONLY because of finanical gifts from our donors.
