Cause Description:
We are a small group of volunteers dedicated to helping homeless, abandoned animals in harms' way find humane, life affirming alternatives to "euthanasia"; we save healthy, loving, adoptable dogs whose days are numbered in stressful, crowded high kill shelters in the surrounding area; we care for feral and unadoptable cats in our one of a kind, cage free, safe-haven sanctuary in Chesapeake VA. Second Chance Habitat’s (SCH) adoption goal is to find loving forever homes for our animals. We require a written adoption application, three references (including your current veterinarian) and a home inspection. Our adoption process, as outlined below, helps insure we find the best homes for the animals in our care. We are volunteer organization and this process frequently takes several days.
