Our mission is to preserve, restore, and interpret early wooden narrow-gauge railroad cars built by a small railroad car builder named Carter Bros. Carter Bros. built cars in Monterey, Sausalito, San Francisco, and Newark, CA. SPCRR started with the acquisition of one caboose, South Pacific Coast Caboose 47, found in the desert near Keeler, California. Our collection now includes 21 railroad cars.
