Steampunk Farms Rescue Barn, a 501(c)(3) Farmed-Animal Sanctuary, is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and advocating for abused, neglected, and abandoned animals. Our mission emphasizes compassionate care, shelter diversion, and promoting vegan principles alongside sustainable stewardship. We provide hands-on animal care, educational workshops, and community involvement opportunities that foster understanding and inspire respect, compassion, and cooperation. By engaging with various groups, including Scout Groups, School Classes, and Special Needs Children, we empower individuals to develop sustainable life skills, embrace cruelty-free living, and become responsible environmental stewards. Compassionate Care: Our primary Sanctuary Purpose is an unwavering dedication to providing our residents with proper nutrition, vital veterinary care, “mental and emotional” enrichment, and opportunities to forge nurturing connections within their respective herds, flocks, packs, and clowders. Shelter Diversion: Our primary Rescue Purpose focuses on finding suitable placement for farmed animals rescue- pulled from shelters that are often ill-equipped to facilitate adoptions for these species. We proactively intercept these animals before they face euthanasia, diverting them to foster or adoption environments when possible, and arranging sanctuary when necessary. Advocating Veganism: We proudly Promote Vegan Principles by setting an aspirational example. Our commitment extends beyond embracing a plant-based lifestyle for ourselves; we choose veganism as a compassionate choice for the animals. Sustainable Stewardship: We are committed to continuously exploring and implementing innovative solutions in sustainable waste management, water and energy conservation, soil-web cultivation, and closed-loop farming practices. Our goal is to strike a harmonious balance between animal welfare, environmental preservation, and community education, fostering a lasting and meaningful impact.
