The International Elephant Foundation works both in-situ in rangeland countries to support projects that would protect elephants and communities, and ex-situ to support projects and research that expands our knowledge of elephants, their health, their behavior, and finds cures for elephant-specific diseases. Direct action in affected countries helps to better the lives of both humans and elephants immediately, while studies, research and outreach help in building future strategies for long-term benefits.
