Cause Description:
The Small Things is a small non-profit organization working to support orphaned and vulnerable children in Tanzania. We are focused on building and supporting happy families, in all their various shapes and forms. We consider the whole child, and the whole community, because they are inescapably linked. We believe in creating participatory and evolving care plans, not stopgap solutions, for children and families in crisis. We care for approximately 40 residential children at Nkoaranga Orphanage and Happy Family Children’s Village, and run an outreach program focusing on family preservation, reunification, and maternal mortality reduction.
