Cause Description:
To help pay medical costs for Hayley Bates. Hayley has a rare condition called Geleophysic dysplasia. Because of my condition I have required two open heart surgeries before the age of 10 years old. The first was to reconstruct my aortic heart valve. The second was to replace my aortic valve with a St. Jude valve when I was 6 years old. Most st. Jude valves usually last an average of 15 years depending on the person. Mine lasted 21 years and now needs to be replaced. It comes at a very bad time because I am currently unemployed, disabled and in school for my pharmacy tech certificate at edmonds community college.
