Cause Description:
"Improving the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment". SISE has been serving the women in Essex County, NJ for over 65 years. Our programs include collaborations with other non-profit agencies, local governments, schools and community organizations. We have educated young people about healthy relationships and community groups on domestic violence awareness; have supplied comfort kits to victims of sexual assault; have supplied monetary supports to grandmothers raising their grandchildren; have supplied wigs, headscarves and store certificates to women undergoing cancer treatment; have supported programs throughout the world that assist women in developing economic and social independence.
