The street dogs in Houston's South Side are in desperate need of help. They live in deplorable conditions fending off starvation, abuse, and torture. South Side Street Dogs is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that works exclusively and tirelessly for the street dogs of Sunnyside in Houston's South Side. SSSD strives to change the attitudes towards animals in the hearts and minds of residents in Sunnyside- working to raise a sense of compassion through education, awareness, and setting an example of humane human to human/human to companion animal coexistence by our presence in the field. SSSD aims to change lives through action and awareness- not just enriching the lives of the animals, but also of the residents.
