The Area Agency of Aging for Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties in Florida, the Alliance for Aging is a private, not-for-profit organization committed to improving the lives of older people through funding local agency providers. The provider services include (but is not limited to) nutritional meals delivered to home-bound elders, meals served at senior centers, personal care and homemaking, adult day care, respite for care-givers, and much more... all the things needed to help a very vulnerable population for whom time has become both a gift and a challenge. The ultimate mission is to provide these services so that older adults can stay in their homes and communities, and out of nursing homes and institutional care.
