BROOKLYN CHILDREN BASEBALL/BASKETBALL ASSN. MISSION STATEMENT The mission of BCBA is to minister to the social, educational and recreation needs of the youth of the member organizations. The purpose of this organization shall be the spiritual, moral and physical development of the youth, essentially by providing them with a wholesome athletic outlet. The goal of BCBA is to create an opportunity for youth to participate in programs and activities which will enable then to grow with a lack of tolerance for prejudice in any form, to assume leadership roles in the Community. To encourage self control in the face of adversity, a respect for authority and a sensitivity for the rights of the individual and loyalty to one’s team and organization. "A successful athletic program is evaluated not in terms of victory or defeat, but in light of the degree that each athlete has become a better human being."
