Cause Description:
Our goal is to provide proper roofing, furniture for educational facilities, clean drinking water, yearly tuition for less fortunate, housing and care for orphans in Mbuji-Mayi, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa. The founder, Pauline, escaped from that area 20 years ago to the US but returned recently to open an orphanage and help the community with education and self- preservation. Pauline's own children were rescued after her escape and are now thriving, successful adults. Her oldest has a PhD in microbiology. Pauline also adopted a brother and sister from the orphanage 2 years ago. Please help give these other deserving, talented children a chance to succeed in this world, where at present, they are victims to the diamond mining and human rights abuses there, with no hope for escape, unless people like Pauline and other humanitarians step forward to make a difference.
