Cause Description:
Earth Wisdom is a Nonprofit Corporation dedicated to teaching educational material to the public schools and general public in natural history, earth and environmental education, and history of indigenous people, through, but not limited to the practice and study of Primitive Technology. We have been presenting programs featuring earth skills and wilderness survival to all age groups since 1988. The skills taught emphasize ability to survive in a wilderness setting without food, water or camping equipment. It is our belief by teaching that the earth provides for all our needs the student will feel a connection with the earth, thus want to protect the earth and promote causes that provide for a healthy environment and community. During the school year we emphasize in teaching school children what to do if lost in a wilderness setting, and how to stay put by building a shelter that will keep them warm and alive without external heat.
