A Shelter Friend is made up of volunteers giving pets a second chance on life. A Shelter Friend, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization working with county animal shelters of southeastern North Carolina, rescue groups and like-minded individuals, to facilitate adoptions and provide support for rescue efforts. We believe that a world which shows empathy toward animals will show more compassion and tolerance toward each other. We are beginning with our little corner of the world, and our vision is to end the killing of homeless and unwanted pets.
