Ouvertes 7 jours par semaine, 24 heures par jour, elles offrent le gîte et le couvert, un milieu stable et une écoute active, un soutien et un accompagnement. ------------------- Mission and objectives Since its inception in 1990, the Foundation's mission has been and remains to promote the visibility of the Auberges du cœur and increase their financial independence. While the Foundation has made great strides since then, it must now become a major player among other fundraising organizations so that in Quebec the youth cause can garner the attention it deserves. The members of the board and the Foundation's leadership have joined forces to ensure that young people can reach their dreams and fulfil their potential as full-fledged members of society. We are all responsible for the plight of our children. Whether they are well-adapted or experiencing difficulty or homelessness, we must consider them in the same light: as future citizens who represent a valuable resource for our community. They embody the future of our society and we must make sure that they fulfil their potential so that they can contribute to our collective prosperity. With the aging of the population, we will need each and every young person in order to continue to enjoy the same quality of life. The Foundation continues to call upon all those who have the power and the means to help the thousands of young people who knock at the doors of our shelters and asks them to make a difference in their lives. Helping the young people who receive the support of the Auberges du cœur is making sure that the society of tomorrow will be successful and proud of its youth. The Auberges du cœur Foundation has a three-fold mission: Promote and champion the activities of the shelters to raise awareness and visibility of the Auberges du cœur and the Foundation. Support and encourage the development of common projects initiated by the members of the Regroupement des Auberges du cœur. Compensate for the lack of basic funding of the shelters that make up the network.
