The Companion Animal Protection Alliance (CAPA) is a group for all people with pets who want to make sure that their pets -- and all of our pets -- get quality veterinary care. CAPA was formed to: -- Educate consumers to help them recognize quality veterinary care -- Offer advice and support to individuals who believe their pets have become the victims of veterinary malpractice, negligence, or abuse. This includes educating them on available legal and regulatory avenues for reporting, as well as other actions they can take. -- Advocate for accountability in the veterinary profession -- Fight for legal recognition of our pets value, and END their classification as mere "property."
