Cause Description:
CLAWS is a non-profit, all volunteer organization. We help low-income people to spay/neuter their pet cats, as well as strays and ferals. A large part of what CLAWS does is adoptions and fostering. We do not have a shelter, so all of our kitties are fostered in private homes. When age appropriate, they are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, and tested for FeLV and FIV, then they are placed in adoptions. We are adoption partners with PetSmart and we do most of our adoptions there. We also routinely take cats and kittens out of Mesa County Animal Control to save them from being euthanized.
