Lambda Theta Alpha, Latin Sorority Inc. has many national and local philanthropies. Our National Philanthropy is the Lambda Theta Alpha Outreach Program titled F.U.T.U.R.O., which translates to FUTURE. On the regional and local levels, our areas and chapters dedicate themselves to philanthropic aid of their own choice and thus the sorority as a collective whole contributes to many different people in need. Women, minorities and children compose the nucleus of most of the philanthropic aid Lambda Theta Alpha focuses on. Through philanthropy, Lambda Theta Alpha hopes to unite people in service with their respective communities while allowing them to realize the importance of sharing problems and understanding their neighbor's concerns. The Sisters of Lambda Theta Alpha pride themselves on their devotion to the community. Since its inception in 1975, Lambda Theta Alpha has always excelled in community service. Not only do sisters "perform" community service, but they also firmly believe in community activism, going out into the community and motivating others by instilling in them a passion to help others. This is the link, the common bond in unity, that is our passion.
