Cause Description:
We are locally known in our home state as Delaware Animal Rescue, However our Sister Organization United States Animal Rescue responds to national disasters as we did when Hurricane Katrina effected the lives of so many helpless animals. Our teams worked rond the clock for 8 loong weeks in an extraordinary efforts to search and rescue animals left behind by their owners. Through the extraordinary efforts from our animal rescue volunteer teams we were able to search & rescue thousands of trapped injured animals. Hurricane Katrina marks our 14th, Animal Rescue Disaster Mission. When we are not responding to disasters we are busy educating the public about the importance of disaster preparations for people and their pets, we also work with communities and animal care facilities to establish disaster response plans that include animals. Our animal rescue team members train throughout the year on how to rescue animals during times of disasters. Our teams of Animal Cruelty Investigators work year round 7-days a week investigating cruel pet shops, experimental lab's and other animal facilities for violations and cruelty, our history is impecable for countless investigations. We receive NO State or Federal Funding, we must rely on animal lovers to support our cause so please do the right thing and give your support to our furry friend's.
