Cause Description:
German Shepherd Rescue of Central Texas gives abandoned German Shepherds a second chance at happiness by providing health care and training before helping them find a home they can enjoy forever. We are a non-profit organization run by volunteers. Equipment and supplies are all purchased using the personal funds of our volunteers, or are sometimes donated or purchased using contributions and adoption fees. All of our dogs are fostered in private homes. We serve the Central Texas region, including Austin, Waco, Killeen, New Braunfels, Bastrop, Dripping Springs, and the surrounding areas. Unfortunately, we can neither accept dogs from, nor adopt dogs to those in areas beyond Central Texas. We cannot save all the dogs even in Central Texas; however, for each dog that is adopted, another can be saved, and if we can help someone resolve a problem and keep their dog we consider that a successful rescue.
