The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, an international lay organization, invites people of every ethnic and cultural background, religion. or econcomic level to join together to fight against poverty and hunger. SVDP operates two meal programs in Milwaukee serving over 130,000 meals annually; administers The Vincent Family Resource Center offering central city, low-income residents parent education and life skills training, and coordinates the efforts of nearly 700 neighborhood based volunteers who make home visits to assist people living in poverty or crisis.
