Founded in 1972, 1736 Family Crisis Center is a private, nonprofit organization working to help victims of domestic violence and their children, homeless/runaway teens, and other troubled individuals stay safe and start fresh through five shelters and three outpatient counseling clinics. In addition – to help high-risk children, youth, and adults access the help they need to stay out of harm’s way – we operate five 24-hour crisis hotlines and a web site. We also conduct extensive outreach, emergency intervention, training, advocacy, and policy development efforts in hospital, business, and other community settings.
