Literacy Volunteers of the National Capital Area (LVA-NCA) is a registered non-profit providing educational services to adults who read and write at the lowest levels. We exist to empower adults in the District of Columbia, where more than 31% of high school students drop out before graduation, to achieve their education, personal, and professional goals. We have provided tutoring services and training to more than 4,200 adult students since we were founded in 1987.
