Barbara Markelz Scholarship Fund The Joliet Township High School Foundation has agreed to assist in establishing the Barbara Markelz Scholarship Fund. Barb was a long-time educator and publications sponsor in the Joliet community. In April 2003, Barb lost her courageous 7-year battle with breast cancer. With the support of her family and several friends, the JTHS Markelz Scholarship Fund is designed to raise funds to establish and endow a high school student scholarship. The intention of the scholarship is to award individual(s) funds for college. For specific guidelines, contact Joliet West at 815-727-6953.
