Cause Description:
Lehigh Valley RSD/CRPS support was founded in 1999 by those with Chronic Pain diseases/illness for those with Chronic Pain. We currently meet at Sacred Heart Hospital, 2nd floor conference, Allentown, Pa on the first Saturday of the month. (go to www.lvrsdsupport.com for times and dates) We provide educational and ongoing support to those affected by Chronic Pain diseases/illnesses (RSD/CRPS- Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy/Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, FM-Fibromyalgia, MS, etc). This neurological pain, if not treated quickly and properly can be severe and unbearable; can affect bodily systems-physical, mental and emotional; and it affects the the whole family- financially, emotionally, physically, and functionally. We offer educational info and up-to-date research materials; meetings with topic discussions and educational speakers (specialized doctors, etc); guidance and directions to professionals and services as needed; and entertaining events and parties. Our desire is to help educate, to foster positive attitudes and encourage hope for the future for all those who come through our doors- patients, spouses, family members, friends, caregivers, and others.
