The Family Empowerment Program promotes safe, supportive and caring families by connecting them to their community through family mentoring. The Family Empowerment Program believes that all children deserve a safe, adequate, and caring home environment, and that every parent needs a caring support system and access to community services. The Family Empowerment Program is designed to help empower families in Oregon State who have/or have had issues of abuse and/or neglect. Families in our program are matched with family friends (community volunteers) who provide the family with a constant, non-judgemental listening ear and support through the hard times that we all face.
