Edmonds Driftwood Players (EDP) nurtures the art of live theatre by creating a vibrant and accessible community experience. EDP is a volunteer-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit community theatre that has been entertaining, enriching, and engaging Western Washington since 1958, making it one of the state’s oldest continuously operating community theatres. EDP’s mission enhances the economy, culture, and quality-of-life in Washington through live theatre productions, outreach and education programs, and volunteer opportunities. Accessibility to the art of live theatre and a welcoming community, whether as a patron, student, or volunteer, is central to all that EDP does. In recent years, the high quality of EDP’s theatre productions has been recognized statewide as “People’s Choice Theatre of the Year” by The Gregory Awards and “Theatre of the Year” and “Best Musical” by Broadway World. EDP is a part of Washington’s first Certified Creative District with the City of Edmonds.
