Cause Description:
Black Dogs & Company Rescue (BD&CR) rescues dogs from high kill shelters in Maryland and surrounding states. We are an all breed rescue but specialize in black dogs. Please read about black dog syndrome. These dogs are the last to be adopted (if at all) so they have a hard time leaving the shelter. You may have also noticed the Old English Sheepdog in our logo. We are the regional contact for OES rescue. They are not the dog for everyone but once you own one (and walk the sheepie way) you will love the breed!
