Friends of Petraits is a 501c3 non-profit, Illinois Department of Agriculture-approved, pet rescue organization serving primarily the Chicago, Illinois area. We are dedicated to rescuing pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, etc left homeless for whatever reason – pets in public shelters where they are at high risk of euthanasia, pets left behind when their owner dies, or are given up by their owners because of difficult circumstances. Friends of Petraits houses and nurtures these rescued pets and provide nutrition and veterinary care until they find new loving guardians.
