The Jarrett Meeker Foundation funds educational programs for disadvantaged children in San Diego County on the environment, conservation and wildlife, developed in partnership with the San Diego Zoo and other appropriate organizations, to increase understanding and appreciation of nature and all living things. The Foundation was created in July 1987 and has been recognized as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. The Foundation is organized under the laws of the State of California and complies with all pertinent federal and state laws and regulations.
