Our mission is to research why motor vehicle crashes happen and educate the public about how to avoid problems on the road. We offer useful information to everyone who uses the road -- pedestrians, cyclists, children, drivers young and old, school bus passengers, school safety patrols, and more. Recent research projects have included how to fight drowsy driving, whether pavement markings can cause drivers to slow down, and investigations of violent aggressive driving, or "road rage."
