Our mission is to promote the no-kill philosophy and provide management support to humane organizations through networking opportunities, research, communication and service. No kill is the philosophy of saving animals' lives who are healthy but homeless and who are normally killed in traditional shelters or pounds to reduce pet overpopulation. DTFA publishes a No-Kill Directory, No-Kill News, its quarterly newsletter, and hosts the annual No-Kill Conference.
