Cause Description:
We provide home, family and therapies to children who have been abused, neglected and abandoned. The Salem School provides education services to children with severe behavioral or emotional disturbances. Located on a 380-acre farm in southern Garrett County, MD, we emphasize a healthy lifestyle which includes recreation and ganes instead of television; vegetarian, mostly whole-foods diet; use of the outdoors as a classroom for personal, social and academic development. Our programs are licensed by the State of MD.
