Alexandra H. is our super shopper of the month!  She raised $280.42 for her cause, Tabby’s Place.


Tabby’s Place is a cat sanctuary designed to provide a loving home for cats who can’t find them, and adopt out those who can.  It’s a cage free facility with both outdoor and indoor space, group rooms for special needs cats, and functions as both a hospital and a hospice for its feline residents.  Jonathan Rosenberg, the founder of Tabby’s Place, created the facility in memory of his beloved cat Tabby, who passed away due to terminal cancer.

Today, Tabby’s Place houses up to 95 cats; its goal is to expand to be able to care for up to 400 cats that would otherwise be in hopeless or helpless situations.  Tabby’s Place has raised over $22,000 through iGive since it joined in 2005! has partnered with iGive to give Alexandra a $150 gift card to thank her for the outstanding work!




Betsy L. raised $148.80 for her cause, Baltimore Clayworks!

baltimoreBaltimore Clayworks is a non-profit ceramic art center in Baltimore, Maryland.  They “exist to develop, sustain, and promote an artist-centered community that provides outstanding artistic, educational, and collaborative programs in ceramic arts.”  Baltimore Clayworks is involved in many different aspects of the art world: gallery, studio, public art, and outreach.  They hold art shows such as Looking at Ourselves, shown to the left.  Their community outreach programs range from partnering with Baltimore City Parks and Recreation, various schools, churches, and after-school programs, to offering classes at Tuerk House (a support center for recovering addicts).  Baltimore Clayworks also hosts Arc Baltimore, an organization that supports people with developmental disabilities.



For her efforts, Betsy will receive a gift packet from valued at $227.81 that includes Teacups Thank You Notes and a Harvest Perpetual Calendar.

Martha F. raised $152.92 for her cause, Tibetan Mastiff Rescue, Inc.Tibetan Mastiff Rescue!

Tibetan Mastiff Rescue is the ONLY rescue organization in the US dedicated solely to helping rehabilitate and place Tibetan Mastiffs.  They rescue the mastiffs from all different situations, including pulling them directly from shelters.  They train, house, treat, and evaluate the mastiffs prior to placing them in a loving home.  At least 140 beautiful Tibetan Mastiffs have been placed in loving homes.

Pet Partners is a non-profit organization focused on improving human health and well-being through interactions with pets.  The core of the organization is focused on medical research – studying the many positive effects of human and animal interaction on people’s health.  Pet Partners also has an extensive  therapy animal program, training handlers and their animals to visit hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and many other facilities.  As they say, “People are healthier and happier because companion, service and therapy animals enrich and positively impact their everyday lives.”

Tim W. raised $190.85 for his cause, Cat Depot!logo

Cat Depot is so much more than just a homeless cat shelter; its state-of-the-art facility houses rescued cats, an activity and education center, and a surgery center.  In 2013, Cat Depot rescued over 900 cats and placed 846 of them in loving homes.  Cat Depot began as a solution to a problem: there were hundreds of abandoned cats at a former shelter in Sarasota and five community members decided something had to be done.  Eleven years later, they have grown from their beginnings in a rented warehouse and have set a goal of rescuing and placing 1000 cats in 2014.






For his efforts, Tim will receive $150 worth of Only Natural Pet products from Pet360.

Sarah V. raised $203 for her cause, Lamplighters Music Theater.

Based in San Francisco, Lamplighters is a non-profit theater company and as Alan Rich of LA Weekly put it, “The best Gilbert & Sullivan available in this country”.  Lamplighters has been showcasing its elaborate productions since 1952.

Ceil M. is our June super shopper, raising $191.54 in one month for the cause United Against Puppy Mills!

United Against Puppy Mills is an organization that raises awareness about the realities of puppy mills.  Many commercial puppy mills exist solely for the purpose of cheaply breeding as many pups as possible, often at the expense of living standards and basic medical care for the dogs (especially the mothers).  United Against Puppy Mills provides information and support to campaigns against puppy mills as they currently exist, as well as keeping track of reputable breeders for those who do want to buy a dog (if they can’t adopt from a shelter).

Claire H. is this month’s Super Shopper.  As a supporter of Shi-Tai United Fund, Inc, Claire raised over $850 in one month by shopping through iGive!

STUFShi-Tai United Fund Inc. (STUF) is a nonprofit charitable organization established by members of the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce of North Amerca (TCCNA).  STUF is dedicated to promoting charitable causes among TCCNA members.  Their goal is to become “the United Way of Taiwanese Community.”

Tiffany B. raised $181.71 for her cause, Skyler’s Gift Foundation.


Skyler’s Gift Foundation is an organization founded to provide support for families with children lost to complications from premature birth.  The founders, Tiffany and Stephen Bowen, lost one of their twin sons, Skyler, after the twins were born at only 24 weeks.    They started Skyler’s to reach out to other families who had experienced similar loss.  Skyler’s Gift Foundation provides support both fiscally and emotionally, helping to cover funeral costs for the baby and organizing support groups and grief counseling to help parents deal with their loss.  It also helps fund research into preventing premature birth and death.

LeeAnn B. is the Super Shopper of the month!  She raised $355.40 for her cause, Chicks Committed to a Cure.

Chicks Committed to a Cure is a team that was formed to raise money to walk in the Susan G Komen 3-Day event.  The 3-Day is a 60 mile walk over three days that fund raises in “support of breast cancer research education, screening and treatment through Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund”.  Chicks Committed to a Cure has been raising money for the 3-Day since 2011.
