Support Red Cross in winter storm relief efforts

The American Red Cross is mounting a relief operation to help those affected by the winter storms that have swept across the country this holiday season, including the tornados that have recently hit North Texas. These powerful storms have impacted thousands of lives, destroying homes and businesses. More solemnly, we know that 35 residents died in flood-related events.

Please join us in supporting the ongoing relief efforts of the American Red Cross by making a donation. Through January 31, American will gratefully award you for your generosity: 250 AAdvantage® miles for a donation of $50; 500 miles for a donation of $100 or more.

Along with the support of the airline’s employees and customers, American is pledging an immediate $100,000 to the Red Cross as they assist those impacted.
“The tornadoes that hit north Texas during the holiday weekend had a tragic impact to our hometown community,” said Joe Taney, American’s vice president – DFW Hub Operations. “With more than 25,000 employees in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, American and its employees stand ready to assist and we encourage our customers to join us by donating to the Red Cross.”
